Six Sigma Certificaiton - The Six Sigma Way book review

The Six Sigma Way is the book which is looking at the brand new quality phenomenon. Six Sigma is a management system data – driven one with almost ideal performance objectives that have been used in leading corporations (see more information about six sigma certification). Its aim is to improve the quality of all processes in the organization. Its name’s origin comes from the conspicuous statistical target of operating with around 3.4 defects per million chances. What is worth mentioning the authors Peter Pande, Robert Neuman and Poland Cavanagh (working in a company which offers Six Sigma implementation, training as well as management services) claim that principles which operate Six Sigma can be perfectly employed in companies of all kinds. After implementing Six Sigma the costs will dramatically decrease, productivity will be improved not to mention increase in the market share and many more positive outcomes. The Six Sigma Way is a really useful guide of how to adapt and use this system in number of different conditions. In part one and part two  you will find basics and also these chapters provide knowledge concerning clear- cut suggestions for adjusting the process according to individual requirements and aims ( here information about leveling costs and profits, make the objective clear and specify time frames). The last third part which covers more than half the book concentrates on introducing thanks to the very flexible step by step map key customers, present performance as well as future activities. Because of the fact that this procedure is very sophisticated managers are supposed to bring at least elementary components to their organization.

Review of "Roth IRA Exploding The Myths: To Convert or Not in 2010 2nd Edition"

In this post I would like to talk a little bit about retirement, retirement plans and opportunities for a happy retirement. The book "Roth IRA Exploding The Myths: To Convert or Not in 2010 2nd Edition" unleashes the myths of the Roth IRA plan. The Roth IRA is a retirement plan that is dedicated for people who are full-time employees and who don't earn too much money, however they salary is not the smallest one.

You may have ask why we should care of such things when we are 20 something? Retirement is something that will be in 40-50 years. The problem is that the government is not able to guarantee that when you retire you will have money for your expenses. That is why you should take care of your retirement and that is why retirement plans such as roth ira or 401k are introduced.

In the book you will find all necessary information what the Roth IRA is, what are the rules of this plan and how much you can or you should contribute. For comparison reasons you can check what are the 401k contribution limits - I believe the Roth IRA best fits to you.

PMP Exam Prep, Sixth Edition: Rita's Course in a Book for Passing the PMP Exam - book review

In this post I would like to draw your attention to a great book that helps you prepare to the pmp certification exam. This book is the "PMP Exam Prep, Sixth Edition: Rita's Course in a Book for Passing the PMP Exam" and I recommend it to everyone who seriously thinks about development his/her carreer in a project manager role.

Basically if you don't have much time for preparation just take this book, read and study it. In my personal case I just took the book and passed the exam. It took me about 50 hours so it gives about a month to prepare to the exam. Before taking the exam please check what are the current pmp certification requirements because then it will be easier for you to focus on the most difficult subjects.

As for my preparation I didn't attend any special courses / classes, I didn't have the PMBOK and had no materials from PMI that could be helpful in passing the exam. Basically this book was the only source for my preparation. The book is written in a high quality language (no spelling/grammar mistakes) the content is very well adjusted to exam requirements.

In my opinion you should be able to score about 80% (180 out of 200 exam questions) with this Rita's book. Before buying this book I read the reviews of other people who actually passed their exams and who were preparing based on this particular book and opinions are all the same - the book is definitely worth your attention.
